PROMYANATA (game changers) is the biggest social responsibility initiative of Nova Broadcasting Group, implemented in partnership with the Reach for Change Bulgaria foundation. Its aim is to improve the lives of children in Bulgaria by discovering motivated social entrepreneurs and helping them turn their ideas into practice.
All five editions of the initiative so far have given a chance to a total of 17 projects to demonstrate actual results. With the help of the fourth edition of the competition, another five social entrepreneurs will develop their ideas how to make the future of Bulgarian children better and more secure.
The initiative in Bulgaria is part of the global effort to find game changers and is carried out in international collaboration between Modern Times Group (owner of Nova Broadcasting Group) and Reach for Change.
Nova Broadcasting Group actively involves its employees in voluntary readings, interviews with the candidates and the final jury in a bid to select the big winner. In addition, the company secures media support for all participants in the Incubator, while its employees engage as mentors, sharing their business experience and strategic advice.
The Reach for Change foundation supports social entrepreneurs, who create a better world for the children in 17 countries across three continents – Europe, Asia and Africa. The foundation was set up in 2010 in Sweden by Kinnevik Group and Sara Damber. It has been active in Bulgaria since 2014. You can learn more about its approach here. For the past three years, PROMYANATA has received a dozen awards, distinguishing its contribution to the development of charity and its innovative approach. These include the big award of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum for Investor in the Society, the award of the Bulgarian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy for Social Innovation, related to Social Inclusion, two-time winner of the award for Most Sustainable Donor Program of the Bulgarian Donors Forum, winner of the Voluntary Initiative award of Tulip foundation and the National Alliance for Voluntary Action. What's impressive is not only the large number of the awards, but also the fact that they have been given by such various organizations and institutions – media, ministry/government institutions and some of the biggest NGO networks, influential businesses and donor associations.
