Significant snow cover is expected in northwestern Bulgaria

Warning of potentially dangerous weather conditions in the next 24 hours. Yellow and orange codes have been issued for parts of Bulgaria.

The situation will be most serious in northwestern Bulgaria, where significant snow cover is expected – between 20 and 30 centimeters. In the southernmost and southeastern regions of the country there may be intense rainfall with amounts reaching 50-60 liters per square meter per day.

Eastern Bulgaria will experience strong and, in some places, violent gusts of wind, which will further complicate the meteorological situation. Rainfall will begin in the early hours of tomorrow.
