The Prime Minister is Rosen Zhelyazkov
With 125 votes in favour and 114 against, Bulgaria's National Assembly has approved the government of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov. The "yes" votes came from the three political forces directly involved in the government - GERB-SDS, BSP-United Left and There Is Such a People (ITN), as well as from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) led by Ahmed Dogan.
The quality of life of people with a focus on education and healthcare will be the priority of the new government, Zhelyazkov said minutes before the vote of the MPs. As other important tasks he pointed out the rule of law, sustainable finances, a balanced budget, membership in the Eurozone.
