The meeting will take place on Monday

Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova summoned Ukraine’s ambassador to Bulgaria H.E. Olesya Ilaschchuk for a meeting on Monday. The reason was the drone that crashed on Saturday morning in the Kardam area.

Regarding the aircraft that violated our airspace, the Ministry of Defense reported earlier that an initial analysis of the wreckage indicates it is most likely a “Maya” decoy drone. The ministry stated that “this type of drone is widely used by the Ukrainian armed forces.”

At this time, there is no reason to believe that the accident was intentional, the Defense Ministry’s statement added.
