Bozhidar Saraboyukov qualified for the long jump final at the European Championships in Birmingham

Bulgarian national team member Bozhidar Saraboyukov qualified for the long jump final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham.

The 2025 Apeldoorn indoor continental champion met the qualifying standard on his second attempt. Saraboyukov jumped 8.20 meters with a tailwind of 2.6 m/s, securing his spot among the finalists. On his first attempt, he jumped 8.02 meters with a headwind of -0.3 m/s.

At the 2024 European Championships in Rome, the Bulgarian athlete finished in sixth place. This season, however, he has been in excellent form, securing podium finishes in Diamond League events.

Now he will have the opportunity to compete for medals in Birmingham and solidify his position among the strongest young athletes. The final in this event will take place on Tuesday at 10:16 p.m.
