Shocking prices for overnight stays in private properties for “Eurovision 2027”

Just hours after Burgas was selected to host “Eurovision 2027”, prices on some of the city’s most popular accommodation platforms have already skyrocketed. We should note, however, that the most expensive listings we found are for private apartments. For the week of the song contest - from May 10 to 16, when the main concerts take place - six nights’ stay for two adults can cost as much as 25,000 euro in these private residences. What advice do experts offer and what are the projected costs?

“Eurovision 2027” will have a seaside vibe. Next May thousands of visitors from all over Europe are expected to flock to Bulgaria’s southern Black Sea coast. Despite the drastic increase in prices for private accommodations, experts say there won’t be any price shocks at hotels in the area. According to Rumen Draganov, director of the Institute for Analysis and Assessment in Tourism, the average price will not exceed 250 euros per room. “If anyone is counting on making 18,000 euros - forget it”, he said emphatically.

Over the past year, hosting the Eurovision Song Contest has had a significant positive impact on tourism in Vienna. In May alone, when the contest took place, revenue reached nearly 150 million euros—a 7 percent increase compared to the same month in 2025. “If we see even a 1 percent increase in the number of visitors, that translates to tens of thousands of visits”, Draganov explained.
