The Deputy Prime Minister met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Bulgaria, H.E. Andrea Ikić-Böm

“Austria is one of Bulgaria’s most important economic and investment partners. The cumulative volume of Austrian direct investment in the country is nearly 6 billion euros, and bilateral trade amounts to about 2 billion euro annually”. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investment, and Industry Alexander Pulev during a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Bulgaria, H.E. Andrea Ikić-Böm.

“These are truly impressive figures, but our goal is to build on these results through concrete policies. We want to attract even more high-value-added investments and achieve a comprehensive economic transformation toward high-tech manufacturing, together with our key strategic partners from Europe, including Austria”, the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

The meeting focused on opportunities to deepen the economic and investment partnership between the two countries. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Bulgaria maintains an open-door policy toward Austrian businesses and seeks to build upon the excellent relations between the two countries through new investments, technological cooperation, and the participation of Austrian companies in the modernization of the Bulgarian economy and infrastructure.
