After three plenary days of debates Bulgaria's Parliament elected its new Speaker. Vezhdi Rashidov's nomination was supported by 139 MPs, (73 against and 27 abstentions).

His candidature has been backed up after about ten votes on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There were several other nominees from different parties but none of them was elected.
