The first quake was registered on Monday evening

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale was registered near Plovdiv on Monday evening. 

The quake occurred at 8:24 p.m. with an epicentre 5 km from Asenovgrad, 15 km from Plovdiv and 150 km from Sofia.

There were at least 17 aftershocks.
