The Prime Minister highlighted the progress in economic cooperation in recent years and confirmed his government’s ambition to further develop this potential
Prime Minister Galab Donev held on Thursday a meeting with the President of the Republic of Hungary Katalin Novak who is on an official visit to Bulgaria. During the talks, Prime Minister Donev highlighted the friendship between the two countries based on the deep historical and cultural ties between the two peoples.
He pointed out that Hungary is an important economic partner for Bulgaria and is among the main foreign investors here. The Prime Minister highlighted the progress in economic cooperation in recent years and confirmed his government’s ambition to further develop this potential.
Prime Minister Donev also stressed the serious work of the caretaker cabinet to ensure the energy security of Bulgaria and the region through diversification, which means new possible sources of supply for Central Europe, including Hungary. In this regard, Donev stressed the importance of the cooperation between Bulgaria and Hungary for the implementation of the Vertical Gas Corridor, which will further contribute to energy security and market integration through the diversification of energy supply sources and routes.
