A wreath-laying ceremony will be held on Macedonia Square, Blagoevgrad Municipality said
The residents and guests of Blagoevgrad will mark the 151th birth anniversary of Gotse Delchev in front of the monument to the revolutionary in the city. A wreath-laying ceremony will be held on Macedonia Square, Blagoevgrad Municipality said.
The Monument to Gotse Delchev has been one of the city’s symbols since its unveiling on August 2, 1955. Here is where the local society pays tribute to Gotse Delchev every year on both his birth and death anniversary (May 4, 1903). The monument’s author is sculptor Kroum Dermendzhiev. A large number of volunteers took part in its construction. The monument in its entirety is 9 metres high.
