The men are from Sofia, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Gabrovo and Shumen

Bulgarian firefighters have left for Greece on Wednesday to help their colleagues in battling the raging fires. The Bulgarians are expected to assist the Greek ground firefighting teams in the area of Alexandropoulis.

The unit consists of five fire trucks, two vans, an operational vehicle and 36 firefighters from Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Gabrovo, Shumen and Sofia.
