The final will be on May 15

Burgas will host the 71st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Following the final stage of the selection process, the coastal city won out over Sofia and will host Europe’s largest televised music event in May 2027.

The decision was announced by Bulgarian National Television (BNT) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) after the international evaluation committee completed its review of the two final bids. The selection took into account the technical capabilities of the venues, transportation infrastructure, hotel accommodations, security, as well as the city’s ability to accommodate tens of thousands of guests, delegations, and media representatives from around the world.

This selection marks the start of preparations for the largest music television event, which will be held in Bulgaria for the first time following DARA’s impressive victory with the song “Bangaranga” in May this year.
