The measure will cost BGN 12 million

The minimum unemployment benefit in Bulgaria will increase from BGN 9 to BGN 12 from October 1 for four months. The amendments to the law on state social security have been adopted by the parliament at first reading on Friday.

The measure which will cost BGN 12 million is expected to affect between 30,000 and 33,000 people. 

The second new social measure adopted guarantees that the unemloyed people will receive benefits longer - seven months.
