The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 720,376, after 33,261 tests identified 1,725 new infections on Wednesday, 81.45 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons. The test positivity rate now stands at 5.18 per cent.
The active cases are 95,166. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 4,869, including 560 in intensive care. Of the 438 new hospital admissions, 83.33 per cent were not vaccinated.
Another 2,289 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 595,363.
83 fatalities were reported (96.3 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 29,847.
With 17,859 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,541,372 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,856,555 people are fully vaccinated, and 194,303 have received a booster jab.
