An earthquake in Romania was felt in Bulgaria on Tuesday afternoon. According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center the magnitude was 5.5. The seismologists from the Bulgarian Academy of Science claim the magnitude was 5.8 on the Richter scale.
The quake was registered at 15:16 p.m. local time with an epicenter about 5 km east of the Romanian town of Tismana and a depth of 40 km.
There are no reports of destruction or injured people.
After the main shock, several aftershocks of lower intensity were also recorded.
