He attended the 18th annual Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia

Continue the Change Co-chair Kiril Petkov said in a Facebook post Monday that his meetings at the 18th annual Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia have indicated that Bulgaria could achieve success with joining the Schengen area if Parliament does its job in September.

Laws such as the one for the Counter-corruption Commission should be made in a way that evidences an actual desire to end corruption in Bulgaria, said Petkov, adding: "We have support in Europe, but we have to do our work".

The Continue the Change party head noted that during the forum, the leaders discussed that more work should be done to remove the obstacles and barriers between the member countries in the European Union. Petkov himself stressed during a discussion on EU leadership in industry and innovation that "for example, the inclusion of Bulgaria and Romania in Schengen will facilitate trade and shorten the delivery time for industry".

Within the framework of the forum, Petkov spoke with the Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob, with European Council President Charles Michel, with leaders from the region of South-Eastern Europe.
