Dimitar Berbatov is among the names being mentioned in the caretaker prime minister's team
President Iliana Yotova will welcome her choice for caretaker prime minister Andrey Gyurov at the Presidency on Wednesday. He is expected to present the composition of his cabinet.
"The list of ministers will consist people with experience, expertise, and decency”, he said a week ago.
Some names are already being discussed in the media, most of whom are people who have held positions as ministers or deputy ministers in previous governments.
Among the names mentioned are:
Rumyana Bachvarova – former deputy prime minister and Bulgarian ambassador to Israel; she may head Gyurov's cabinet or resume the post of deputy prime minister.

Traicho Traikov – mayor of the Sredets district of Sofia, discussed for the economy and energy sectors.
Mihail Okoliyski – likely to head the health sector.

Sergey Ignatov – former Minister of Education, discussed for the same position.
Andrey Yankulov – possible Minister of Justice.
Nadezhda Neynski – discussed for Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Boyko Noev – rumored to be the next defense minister.
Ivan Hristanov – likely to head the agriculture ministry.
Yulian Popov – being considered for the environment and water ministry.

Dimitar Berbatov, an iconic name in Bulgarian and world football, is likely to join Gyurov's team.
