British national David Bodill, 28, who is wanted on an Interpol Red Notice, was arrested in a house his grandparents had bought in the village of Lyubenovo (Pleven Region) on Tuesday. He is wanted at the request of the Manchester authorities for suspected preparation of terrorist acts. A recipe and materials for making a homemade bomb, as well as illegal arms and ammunition, were found in his home in Britain.
The Prosecutor General's Spokesperson Siyka Mileva said on Tuesday the man would be detained for 72 hours by the District Prosecution Office of Pleven and an extradition procedure would be launched by the local district court. A search and seizure in the village house yielded drawings and diagrams for making and detonating improvised explosive devices, as well as expensive arms.
