The customs inspectors drew up a statement of violation of the Foreign Exchange Act
Customs officers at the Danube Bridge 2 border crossing near Vidin found undeclared foreign currency worth the equivalent of nearly BGN 860,000 hidden in a truck, the Customs Agency said Monday.
During an inspection of a truck entering Bulgaria the country and driven by a Turkish citizen, customs officers found GBP 47,000 hidden in a pot in a refrigeration unit. An X-ray scan was also carried out and a further EUR 385,000 was found in the trailer.
