Individuals must own a car and have no overdue taxes

The mechanism to assist households due to higher fuel prices is expected to be up and running by the end of the month.

According to government estimates, the assistance will amount to 20 euro per month, which will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of people whose incomes are up to twice the poverty line, or just over 780 euro.

The mandatory requirements are that the individual must own a car and have no overdue tax liabilities.
