Lora Hristova was named the biggest surprise of the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina. Our 22-year-old biathlete won a bronze medal in the women's 15 km individual competition. She won the fan vote convincingly on the Facebook page of the International Biathlon Union (IBU). Over 20,000 people voted for her.
Hristova impressed everyone with her performance at the Olympics, where she finished seventh in the pursuit and 11th in the sprint. In the women's relay she made a flawless first leg, establishing herself as one of the best shooters at the Games overall.
