Storm system expected to affect many parts of Bulgaria
A powerful cyclone is moving across Bulgaria, bringing strong winds and snow to many regions of the country, meteorologists warn. The last days of January and the first 10 days of February will be influenced by series of cyclones, resulting in heavy rain that in colder phases will turn into snow.
Over the next 48 hours the cyclone is expected to cover the country, with cloudy skies and significant precipitation, especially in the southern and southwestern regions. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms and hail in these areas, along with a risk of flooding, river overflow, and landslides.
The dynamic weather will be accompanied by strong southerly winds, particularly on the first day of the storm, with daytime temperatures ranging from around 8 to 13 degrees Celsius, then dropping between 3 and 8 degrees Celsius. Cooler conditions will persist in the northwest and central northern regions.
