More than 700 teams and over 500 cameras are on the road to monitor traffic violators

It’s the last day of the holiday weekend and heavy traffic is expected. The Road infrastructure agency forecast is that over 190,000 vehicles will leave the biggest cities.

More than 700 teams and over 500 cameras are on the roads to ensure there are no violations. Officers in unmarked cars will also be on the lookout for speeding, dangerous maneuvers, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. For those, returning from Greece, the Traffic Police have cleared two lanes in the direction of Sofia.

To ease traffic and ensure safer travel, heavy-duty trucks will not be allowed on the main roads in Bulgaria heading toward Sofia between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.
