The test positivity rate now stands at 27.9%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,217,154, after 2,373 tests identified 663 new infections on Saturday. The test positivity rate now stands at 27.9%.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 150 positive tests, followed by Burgas Region with 86 cases and Plovdiv Region with 35.

The active cases are 27,026. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 1,099, including 47 in intensive care. Of the 48 new hospital admissions, 79.17% were not vaccinated.

The infected medical staff have reached 25,250.

Another 83 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,152,697.

Two fatalities were reported (both unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 37,431.

With 144 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,488,309 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,065,675 people are fully vaccinated, and 837,128 have received a booster jab (including 46,655 reboostered).
