According to the data now it costs over 61 euro

In just one month the cost of the basic food basket has risen by 2%. This is according to calculations by the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria regarding retail prices. The index tracks 20 food items as well as fuel prices.

According to the union’s data, the price of basic necessities is now over 61 euros, up from about 59.80 in March.

Among the items that have seen the sharpest price increases are tomatoes - nearly 30 percent, potatoes - over 5%, and bottled mineral water - 3.3 percent.
